Shipping terms

General information

Kahiwa Coffee Roasters Oy, business ID 2820442-7, sells the products in the online shop. We sell products to individuals of legal age. The prices of the products include VAT. We reserve the right to change prices and shipping costs.

Ordering

Products are ordered online at www.kahiwacoffee.fi via the shopping cart.

All orders will be confirmed by e-mail, indicating the price of the order, the delivery costs and the products ordered. In order to receive an order confirmation, you must provide your e-mail address when placing your order.

The customer agrees to be bound by the delivery terms in force for each order.

Order confirmation

We will send you an order confirmation by email, where you can see:

  • order number
  • the products ordered and the quantity
  • delivery charges
  • the total sum amount.

You can also check the content of your order on our website.

Payment

Products and their shipping costs are paid at the time of ordering. In our online shop, you can pay by invoice, online bank charges from Finnish banks, Debit and Credit payment cards and the most common international credit cards.

The payment service provider are Paytrail payment service, Paypal and Shopify Payments. When you pay, you are transferred to a secure payment form with an encrypted and secured connection.

Delivery time

We ship on weekdays Monday to Friday. Products are dispatched from the roastery no later than two working days after the order is placed. Deviating delivery times will be communicated.

Delivery method and delivery costs

Delivery costs include postage and packaging. You can view the delivery costs after you have selected the payment and delivery method. We deliver orders in packages, which can be tracked by tracking number. For more information on shipments, please visit the shipping service providers website and tracking services.

Exchange and return conditions for coffee and other food products

Coffee products sold online are food products and do not have the right of withdrawal, return or exchange (see Chapter 6, Section 16 of the Consumer Protection Act).

Defective products will be replaced with a similar product.

 

Exchange and return conditions for other products

The customer has a 14-day right of exchange and return under the Finnish Consumer Protection Act. The right of return applies only to unused and saleable products in their original packaging. 

14-day return and exchange period, counting from the date the product is received for collection at the pick-up point, or when the product is delivered to the customer. Returns must be made directly to [email protected] within these 14 days.

The customer is responsible for the shipping costs of product returns and exchanges.


Please include the following information with your return:

  • your customer number, name, address and telephone number
  • and a copy of the order confirmation

We do not accept returns more than 14 days after delivery. Once the return has been accepted and received, the money will be refunded to the payment method used at the time of purchase.

Failure to collect the parcel does not mean that it was returned

Please note that failure to collect your parcel from the Post Office does not constitute a customer refund. The parcel is considered collected when it is returned to the roaster by the Post Office. If you are not going to pick up your parcel, please inform our customer service in advance. In case of non-notification, we may charge a delivery and handling fee of € 9,90.

Problems in transport and defective products

If the product is lost during transport, damaged or the wrong product has been delivered to the customer, the customer should immediately report the error to [email protected] or by post:

Notification of a faulty delivery or defective product must be made within 14 days of receipt of the product. If the package is damaged in the post, a complaint must be made immediately to the post office.

Other

We reserve the right to change our terms of delivery. The customer should check the current terms of delivery before placing an order.
Kahiwa Coffee Roasters Oy will treat all customer information as strictly confidential.Kahiwa Coffee Roasters Oy undertakes not to disclose customer information to any third party.

Subscription model

For certain products, we offer a subscription service. The subscription service involves the delivery of coffee shipments at intervals chosen by the customer.
The first shipment will be delivered within 3 business days of placing the order. After that, the order will follow the selected subscription frequency.
Shipping costs, based on the customer's chosen delivery method, are added to the price of the subscription service.
By subscribing to the service, the customer commits to an ongoing agreement. The customer can cancel the subscription(s) either through the Recharge user account or by contacting the online store customer service.
If a customer orders multiple subscription services at once, we will deliver the monthly coffees in the requested quantity. For example, if a customer orders 2 monthly subscription services in one order, we will deliver two monthly subscription packages together in one postal package each month.
The sum of the monthly subscription will be automatically charged to the customer's provided payment card according to the chosen interval. The customer can view the next delivery date through their user account.
Once an order has been processed or charged to the payment card, it is not possible to cancel or refund.
